Danny Bonner – Owner, Camp Director

Summer camps have been a way of life for Danny. He joyfully attended them as a child, passionately worked as a summer camp counselor during his teenage and college years, and now loves teaching 7th grade math and coaching football. With his devotion to summer camp culture, it makes sense that he is bringing a new and exciting evolution of summer camp to the Houston area.

Danny graduated from Texas A&M University in ’03 and immediately went into the field of education. During his 7 years teaching and coaching he married his college sweetheart and received his M. Ed. at Stephen F. Austin State University. They enjoy biking, water sports, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.  

Gay Lynn Bonner – Associate Director

Gay Lynn has over 20 years experience working with children and can’t wait for the 2011 summer camp season to start. She has enjoyed working as a pre-school teacher, a pre-school supervisor, and a long running Sunday school teacher during her experience with children. She has a bachelors and masters degree from Sam Houston State University.

Married 35 years, her and her husband have 3 children: Danny, who she is excited to be working with to bring Camp On Wheels to Houston; Steven, who works in sales; and Laura, who is a student at the University of Texas.
